This blog will allow me to share my work with the 6th grade students at my school. I will be teaching them how to be successful bloggers and I will learn myself . Of course we will always talk about being good digital citizens. We will use caution and care when commenting on others blogs. We will spend time reading blogs, critiquing blogs and commenting on classmates blogs. We are going to partner with Blue Heron Elementary in commenting on other 6th grade student blogs. My hope is that students will become bloggers and they will in turn become better writers. As our journey begins I hope that you enjoy our posts, videos, and pictures. Blog On!

1st Post / Summer Reading
Hello Bloggers,
This is my 1st blog to the Lukas Students! YAY! This summer I had the opportunity to read a lot of the new chapter books that I purchased for the library. I really enjoyed the stories, the plots, the characters but here is my question to you......Do you enjoy reading stories about death or sadness? The majority of books I read this summer had death and sadness in the story. As an adult reader I have compassion and have the schema to understand the contest but I wondered what students may think. Please comment on my blog about this question.
